"Thank you, Granddad.” She beamed up at him; Michael looked at Jeremy harshly again before turning and walking away, muttering something like ‘back in my day, princes got beheaded properly…’ “Sorry about him. He’s… very much into the idea of me marrying a soldier. Moreso than Papa.”
